7 of the best Triathlon Training Camps

Triathlon Training Camps

The majority of my clubmates from Havering Tri are off to Club La Santa, Lanzarote this week for the annual training camp. Triathlon training camps are a great opportunity to spend the week completely focusing on your sport, whilst enjoying the weather, scenery and facilities on offer. They are ideal to keep motivated over the winter months and to prepare for race season with an intense week of training.

Unfortunately, finances prevented me from attending training camp this time around, so I’ll be enviously following the club’s Facebook updates of their week. To add fuel to my jealousy, I’ve put together a selection of the best triathlon training camps in the UK and Europe. Hopefully one day, I’ll get to visit a few of these myself…

    Hi,
I have been on several camps on your list and I have to admit the best one you don’t list which is SunTri in Mallorca. It is linked to the bigger SunVelo cycling camps and unlike most other triathlon camps is able to offer a range of excellently run different level cycling groups run by expert cycling coaches and ride leaders. This is coupled with several very experienced triathlon coaches that provide excellent coaching and drills for the swim and run elements. I have been the last two years and will be going back again in 2019 as well as La Santa.

We offer some great deals on triathlon camps in Southern Spain. Flights are cheap to Malaga and the natural training environment is amazing! cycling on the coastal roads right by the sea or on the mountain routes; sea, lake or pool swimming and wonderful beach, track or trial running. Athletes stay in authentic Spanish villas or town houses and its cheap to eat out. Needless to say the weather is amazing and we can also arrange kayaking, horse riding, hiking and cultural visits – so lots of thing to see and do.
