Cycle Rhythm: The Launch and Instructor Training

Last week saw the official launch party for Cycle Rhythm. We did open back in July, but in Essex we love any excuse for a party, so why not throw a grand opening?

The evening was absolutely buzzing with friends, family, press, instructors and a few famous faces! Every bike was booked out for the launch class- with pumping music from a live DJ, the atmosphere in the class was electric!

We were joined by Gee from Juice Philosophy who showcased samples of her range of cold-pressed juices. I loved the ‘Beverley Hills’ version with cashews, cacao, dates and sea salt.

While myself and Glen looked slightly more sweaty…!

We followed up the launch party with a 2 day training course for our instructors.
Keiser Master Trainer Paco Gonzalez shared his knowledge and experience, alongside Neil Troutman from Velocity Cycle. We learned the fundamentals of correct bike set-up, posture, hand positioning and pedalling technique, as well as structuring a cycle class and choosing/mixing music.

We have built a strong team of motivated and passionate instructors, and this training course should take their classes to the next level. I’m proud to say that I am now also a qualified Cycle Rhythm instructor- although I’m not sure that I will actually teach classes!

Our launch week also featured a few Master Classes with the legend that is Paco Gonzalez. He transformed our riding experience with ‘Spivi‘, interactive virtual cycling technology. Our riders loved cycling through the steep inclines and sharp descents of a virtual road environment.

I was featured in a recent issue of West Essex Life magazine talking about the inspiration behind the studio.

We are currently running a 30 day challenge in which riders can win prizes for completing 30 classes within 30 days. Lots of exciting events are coming up at Cycle Rhythm, including DJ ride Sunday Sessions and a Halloween themed class. Get involved and ride the rhythm with us!
