I was recently invited to become a member of the Om Yoga Bloggers Community. I’ve been a fan of Om Yoga for a while now, so I was more than happy to get involved in collaborating with the magazine on blog posts.
Designed to inspire and to energise, Om magazine wants to help readers enjoy a more active and rewarding life, drawing on the physical and mental disciplines of yoga, an ancient practice just as popular today as it was thousands of years ago.
At Om magazine, the goal is to both entertain and to enrich, to nurture your soul at a time when the world around you may be pre-occupied with more material concerns. Each issue contains easy to follow yoga sequences plus instructions for achieving individual poses.
A wealth of meditation, nutrition and wellbeing articles to help guide you in your lifestyle choices.
I first picked up the magazine last September when I spotted an article on a local Bikram Yoga studio which I wanted to start attending. Funnily enough, I now work for the company which owns Bikram Yoga Essex and I practice there regularly- I probably would never have been to the studio if it was not for the Om Yoga article!
April’s issue of the magazine has some great features on a range of topics including yoga postures, health, laughter therapy, yoga retreats, recipes and teaching training.
The article which particularly caught my eye was the feature on Teeki yoga pants. These gorgeous printed leggings are all made from recycled bottles! I love printed leggings- the bolder the design, the better! I’ve been working on designing a range of yoga clothing recently, so these served as great inspiration! How cool are the unicorn ones?
Om Yoga magazine is available in print format as well as digital download for tablets, eReaders and smart-phones. I’ve downloaded mine to my iPhone to read while I’m out and about. It’s simple to sign up for a digital subscription- just click on the link to the right hand side.
