Weekly Re-Cap 8

On the week leading up to Christmas, it was a little tricky fitting the training in around work parties, last minute shopping etc, but I managed 3 runs…


Monday- Rest 

Tuesday- 10km run

Wednesday- Bikram Yoga

Thursday- 4 mile run

Friday- Rest

Saturday- Rest

Sunday- 10 mile run



This week I did my first early morning run! I headed out at 5.50am on Thursday morning, as I knew it would be impossible to fit in a run in the evening. The streets were empty at that time of day, so it was a nice peaceful run, but I must admit I didn’t have the same energy as my evening runs and felt like I was dragging myself along. I’m definitely not a morning person!

No swimming lesson this Wednesday, so I used the time to take a Bikram Yoga class instead, which I really enjoyed. I always feel great after a Bikram session!

Sunday was my longest run so far, I did 10 miles along one of my favourite routes-  the Thames Riverside from Rainham to Purfleet. The sky was black when I set off so I prepared myself for rain, but it turned into a beautiful day and I enjoyed the views over the River.
